Ebsco is cleared for Take Off. We completed our Phase I, as9100 audit last week!
The audit went GREAT and we have only a few details to finalize before our full certification audit in October.
as9100 is the quality standard used by aerospace and defense contractors. Like out current ISO 9001 certification, it sets the standard that we must meet with our quality standards. as9100 includes ALL of the provisions of ISO 9001 and goes further. It is a rigid standard met by a select few companies. Ebsco Spring will be one of those companies. In October we will be certified both ISO 9001 and as9100.
I am so proud of the Ebsco team in their efforts to achieve this goal. They have worked hard and been opened to new changes to make this a reality. Thank You!
as9100 requires strict controls over every aspect of our facility and the methods we use to complete our processes. It requires constant monitoring and inspection to ensure everything meets the customer’s standards. as9100 places strict demands on the control of our vendors and the processes they use. It provides detailed documentation of everything we do.
What does this mean to our customers? A rigid set of standards controlling processes and quality as we manufacture their parts. It is a standard that assures customers of the finest quality control in manufacturing. The aerospace industry must demand the strictest quality standards from their manufacturers. Lives depend on it. Certifying to the as9100 standard means that all of Ebsco’s customers, not just aerospace will have confidence in the finest quality control system available regardless of the application their parts may be used.
With our new certification, Ebsco will be seeking to expand our current aerospace business. We will be reaching out to the aerospace industry to showcase what Ebsco has to offer.
Ebsco is currently operating under the as9100 standard. Our customers are receiving the benefit of the best in quality management right now. Our final certification audit will be in October.
So buckle you seat belts and return your seats and tray tables to the full upright position. Ebsco has been cleared for take off.
