This week the boss took over and wrote the post.
Todd Pfeifer took over our ISO program this year. Although our quality management system was functioning and we were producing quality products for our customers, I knew it was time to take our system to the next level.
I cannot begin to tell the hours Todd spent researching, updating and making our ISO program understandable to everyone. How he embraced it and showed us how it can HELP manage Ebsco…instead of just being a bunch of documentation that seemed excessive and …had absolutely nothing to do with making springs.
We hired a new registrar this year, WCS, and had our recertification audit this week. The gentleman doing the audit was a breath of fresh air. He cared as much about the effectiveness of our processes as he did the details of ISO itself. He was VERY impressed with the entire Ebsco team. He talked to many, many people. He told us how each person he talked to impressed him with their knowledge and skill and kindness. He told us how engaged people are and seem happy to work at Ebsco. You might as well have told me one of my sons had won the Nobel Prize.
These people are not employees, they are my friends, my family. THEY write up the orders, talk to our customers, purchase our material, pay the bills. THEY make the springs, check the quality, keep our inventory accurate and then ship our finished products. THEY keep our machines working and our factory clean.
We passed our recertification with a glowing report, some recommendations and some resources to begin our goal of being Aerospace certified in the near future.
THANK YOU Todd Pfeifer

I am so blessed to be a part of this company and the people who have made it such a great place.
