Being in business is more than dollars and cents. As a company you have a responsibility to be involved in the community. At Ebsco, our community involvement is driven by the team members, NOT management. Our community involvement team sets the direction for Ebsco. The picture above was taken last week. Our team is wearing the Ebsco 2014 Breast Cancer Awareness shirts. Erin McHenry designs our shirts, Ebsco buys them and the employee sales proceeds go to Breast Cancer Research. Below is a photo of the 2013 edition.
We support several charities each year. To name a few;
The Color Run
Charity Golf Tournaments
Blood Drives like this one for the Moore Tornado Victims
And Many Many More.
So what’s the point. As I said at the beginning, Business has an obligation to support the community. It’s part of Ebsco’s Mission Statement.
What makes Ebsco special? Some companies do nothing, others get out the check book and make a tax deduction. At Ebsco it’s all about the Employees!!!!
They choose the Cause!
They come up with the program!
They make a difference!
It’s not enough that we have the BEST spring makers in America (and that means in the world). We have some of the most caring employees also.
The point is, I AM SO PROUD OF THE EBSCO TEAM.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a great group of people.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I going to look for clothes for our upcoming clothing drive.
